This is a reflection of Korean 14centry folk paintings. As folk painting is amateur work by the ordinary folks in the age, it represents actual customs of the nation. Korean folk paintings are mostly very creative, the quality is excellent and the quantity is the most in the world. To emphasize motives of the folk paintings, the entire cloth design is very simple. I made a patchwork dress at first, as patchwork represents practicality and economy mind of the folks in low-middle class, and then put a character of the folk painting on a denim skirt. To make casual impression, the denim skirt was made by digital printing but the color became too bright. However, since the color can be controlled, its mass production is considerable.
