Reference / Korean folk paintings,costume for a lower ranking officials treating the criminals
Since I was interested in costume design with Korean beauties, my work at the laboratory was also research for the Korean beauties. The representative research was ‘building Korean cultural animal icon system and developing Illustration of traditional costume’. Korea has represented various animals and impersonated them in folk paintings and folk tales since ancient times.
To advertise Korean traditional costume and spirit extensively through putting Korean traditional costumes on the animals, this project was sponsored by Korea Culture Contents association (KOCCA) and designed at Clothing & Textile laboratory of Ewha Womens University. The aim was to represent Korean spirit, life and story through Korean fairytale animals wearing Korean traditional costumes from court dresses to various working clothes. http://iconzoo.culturecontent.com/
